Founder and CEO of Goldie Blox, Debbie Sterling wanted little girls to be just as excited about engineering as she was. She noticed the lack of representation by women in her field and wanted to change that. Debbie wanted to shake up the industry and get girls excited about engineering at a young age and thus, the Goldie Blox brand was created. In six months time Sterling was able to get her products from kick starter to Toys R Us and from there in several different stores and online, while growing her business and opening the minds of girls every where.
Goldie Blox features toys that help young girls understand more about engineering while building and having fun. The toys range from zip lines to skydiving, a builders survival kit and much more. The age range is preschool and up but they also offer cute clothing options for babies to adults. The team at Goldie Blox as well as the CEO understand the power of representation.
Young girls now have the opportunity to learn about something they previously may have not had much interest in while playing and having fun. Just think if more people did this how empowered our young women would be!
Will you be purchasing Goldieblox for the girls in your life?
