1. Shampoo and Condition

Before you can go any further, you must start off with clean and conditioned hair. Conditioner is a must especially when using heat on your hair. Shampoo and condition with tgin’s Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo and Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner. Detangling is easiest on wet hair with conditioner. Carefully detangle the hair from ends to roots. Once your hair is completely rinsed of all product residue, dry your hair. We prefer using tee shirts over cotton towels as they are less damaging to curls.

2. Moisturize and Section

Start by sectioning your hair and applying a dime to nickel size amount of daily butter cream throughout your hair. The key is to add just enough to add moisture but you don’t want to apply a large amount as you are using heat. Apply product from roots to ends. Apply your favorite heat protectant throughout your hair as well.

3. Blow Dry

To avoid heat damage make sure your hair is at least 70 percent dry before blow drying.  Start blow drying from the ends and work your way to the roots. Your can use a blowdryer with a comb attachment or use a denman brush while blowdrying.

4. Flat Iron

Section hair into small sections and flat iron hair from roots to ends. Only go over hair once, as you don’t want your hair to be bone straight, or cause heat damage.

5. Add a Few Curls

Add a few curls for body using your flat iron, curling iron, or curling wand. Once your curls are in place do a quick head flip to add extra volume, and spray your favorite hairspray to hold your beautiful curls in place. To minimize the heat, you can also set your hair on rollers or flexi rods for big bouncy curls.
